uber allen gipfeln

In allen wipfeln
spurest du

warte nur, balde

if we move too fast,
we'll break things
if we move too slow,
we'll miss things.
and if we don't move at all,
we won't see things
for how beautiful they truly are

NEVER ENDING BEAUTY

DON'T FALL IN

YOU TAKE MY BREATH AWAY

EVEN THE CANYONS SHOUT YOUR GLORY

even the mountains bless Your name
the rivers tremble at Your voice
when Your hand carved the canyons
They sang 'Holy is the Lord'

when will i cease to glory at Your works?
oh God, let it never be so
Your beauty overwhelms me
and Your grace is unending

oh Lord, let me ever praise Your name
let my heart be full of Your love
let my soul cling to Your precious name

CAUGHT

DEATH OF FREDERICK THE FISH

in spring of youth it was my lot
to haunt of the wide world a spot
the which i could not love the less
so lovely was the loneliness
of a wild lake, with black rock bound
and the tall pines that towered around

but when the night had thrown her pall
upon that spot, as upon all,
and the mystic wind went by
murmuring in melody
then--ah then i would awake
to the terror of the lone lake
